Pacific Cycle has recalled 7,000 bicycle trailers used by children.
The company determined the coupler that connects the trailer to the adult's bike has welds that can fail.
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission says they have received a report about a child being injured because the connector broke.
The trailers were sold under the names In-Step 'Pathfinder', Schwinn 'Run-About', and Mongoose 'Alleycat'.
They were in stores between January and August of 2007.
