It's called the Spirit of Detroit and team owners are hoping the spirit is alive this weekend. It's been a rough year so far for the team.
So far, the U-13 has been unable to make it to any of the first three race sites - still working on repairs from last year. Driver Terry Troxell continues to recover from a stroke. And the team's currently without a national sponsor.
Despite the problems, owner Dave Bartush says Detroit should be the coming out party for 2006. J. Michael Kelly while pilot the U-13 in Detroit.
As of Thursday, the race team reports some of the crew is in Detroit and the boat's on the way.
