YAKIMA, Wash.-- More than 200 students
turn out for Career Exploration Day at Perry Tech in Yakima.
The event allows them to shadow
professionals and get a preview of what they could expect to do in their future
career.
It also featured a speech by Mac Bledsoe,
a motivational speaker and the father of NFL Quarterback Drew Bledsoe.
He talked to students about setting goals
for their future and following their dreams.
"The ideas in your head will rule
your world and that nobody may put an idea in your head without your permission,
without your participation," Bledsoe said.
The Yakima Sunrise Rotary Club organized
the event.
Local schools taking part in the career
fair included West Valley, Zillah, Davis, and Naches.
