KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Tri-Cities Regional Public Facilities District will be holding a Public Design Workshop next week to get input on the proposed Aquatic Center concept.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 13, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the Kennewick City Hall Council Chambers, 210 W. 6th Avenue in Kennewick.
The proposed Aquatic Center would be located on Sandifur Parkway near Road 100 in Pasco and to be funded by a .1% sales tax increase in the Tri-Cities, subject to voter approval later this year. The Center would include many outdoor and indoor water amenities for year-round use.
The Design Workshop will be facilitated by representatives of Water Technology Incorporated, the consultant selected by the District to draw up the site plan and cost estimates.
The public is encouraged to attend and give their input on the design and features of the proposed Center.
Members of the public seeking more information on the Workshop can call (509) 545-3404.
