Practice Intensifies for Intense Champs

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash. - Practice intensifies for the Tri-Cities fever. There's one week left to cut the roster size to 21 with four more on the practice squad.

Sunday head coach Adam Shackleford made a second round of cuts to bring the total reamining to 30, and this Thursday he expects to make the final cuts. Players trying out know this week is going to be tight on the practice field.

"It's kept practice intense. You know there's some guys that know they're on the bubble, we communicate where guys are at, and efforts been outstanding. Guys haven't separated themselves like they have in the past years and I think that's just because we have a really good group," said Adam Shackleford.

"Absolutely, because there's a couple guys here that unfortunately for them they're going to be going home. So that raises everyone's play and makes everyone work even harder because guys, they want to stay," said Kasey Peters, Fever quarterback.
