RICHLAND, Wash. - The Richland Bomber boys are playing in the state tournament this year, well sort of, the WIAA changed the state basketball tournaments so Richland is technically in the State-Regional round. Call it what you want, the Bombers are five wins from the 4A state title, the same spot their season ended last year, the Bombers talk about what makes this year's squad different.
"I think we, we're a better offensive team than we were last year. A lot of new guys and young guys, but they're all offensive minded and defensively we're getting there. We're a lot better now than we were a month ago. So I think we have a nice mix of both inside and outside game and guys are very selfish and they're willing to do whatever it takes to win."
"Yeah it's just a culture thing," added Mason Hilty, Richland Senior. "Everybody comes ready to play and we just work well together."
