Company growth outpaced expectations, putting strain on IT infrastructure.
Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) February 10, 2013
Prison.us.org is in the midst of a major IT overhaul to deal with increased customer demand, company officials said yesterday.
“We experienced a lot more growth in 2012 than we expected,” said company spokesman Josh Fraser. “That's great for our company, but not great for our IT infrastructure. So, now we have to upgrade to be able to handle the growing demands on our systems.”
The unexpected influx of new customers has caused there to be delays in providing people with the reports they have purchased and resulted in some website downtime, which the company is not happy with, Fraser said.
“A given IT infrastructure can only handle so many customer requests at once without slowing down or causing other glitches,” Fraser said. “Our customers shouldn't have to put up with that. So, we need to find a way to handle the increased traffic smoothly.”
The company will be adding several new servers, new backup stations, and have some of the data processed virtually through the cloud, Fraser said.
“This is a huge investment in our IT systems,” Fraser said. “But it's an investment we need to make if we want to live up to customer expectations. We have hired more than a dozen new IT professionals to get these new systems up and running as quickly as possible.”
Maintaining a good prison record or background record is important for multiple reasons. Prison.us.org advises those looking for employment, or just individuals wondering about their past, to check out prison report services because it can effect their future.
