Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, Wash.-- A Grandview man accused of killing the mother of his child pleaded guilty to first degree manslaughter today.

Daniel Uvalle was originally charged with second-degree murder in the death of 25-year-old Corina Santos.

Prosecutors say he hit Santos in the head with a blunt object last March.

A judge will sentence him on March sixth.

The standard range is six to eight years, but the judge could give him life in prison.
