PROSSER, Wash. -- A Prosser couple is transforming the former aging Prosser motel into an inviting boutique motel called the Wine Valley Inn.
Rob and Jayne Steelman bought the 26-room motel in September for $275,000, according to Benton County property records. and in less than four months, they've managed to breathe new life into the motel.
Ten of its rooms now feature freshly tiled entries, plush carpet, comfortable beds covered with fluffy white down comforters, flat-screen televisions and spa-like bathrooms.
The Steelmans seek out boutique hotels and inns with character and comfortable accommodations when they travel, and want to create a similar experience for wine valley inn guests. The couple is taking a little break over the winter and will start remodeling the other rooms come spring.
Room rates at wine valley inn start at $82 dollars a night.
