KHQ.COM - Bonner County Deputy Coroner David Ward says 36-year old Alberto Tuinzing died
of a 'Closed head injury due to blunt force." Tuinzing and 25 year-old Anthony
Viola were involved in an altercation Wednesday night that sent Viola to the
hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm.
Tuinzing was also transported to the
hospital where he was pronounced dead. According to
Deputy Coroner Ward Alberto Tuinzing was the man believed to have pulled out the
gun. Tuinzing died of "defensive wounds."
No other weapons were used in the
altercation. Ward says its believed at some point in the Altercation Tuinzing
"Slammed" his head on the ground which caused his fatal injury. So far Sandpoint
police have not filed any charges.
Police have also not labeled this a self
defense situation or a homicide investigation. Police say Anthony Viola is fully
cooperating with the investigation.
