Boy Scouts of America Delay Vote to Lift Ban on Gay Members

Posted: Updated:

IRVING, Texas - The Boy Scouts of America's national executive board won't make a decision about whether or not to lift its longstanding ban on gay members for a few months.

The organization has delayed its decision, and announced it will vote on a resolution at the group's national meeting in May.

BSA said last week that the executive board was considering shifting the policy to allow gay members and leaders and leaving the decision up to troops across the country.
