HERMISTON, Ore. -- The Hermiston School District Board has given the go-ahead to the contractor to begin work on the Kennison Field Project.
Just weeks after the district announced it had filled the funding gap for the project, the board approved an all-inclusive base project cost of $5 million.
Deputy Superintendent Wade Smith says they will be calling several local subcontractors over the coming days to inform them that they have landed work on the project.
The Guaranteed Maximum Price contract with the project general contractor, P and C Construction, which consists of an estimated $4.3 million in project construction costs, a five percent
contingency allowance, a seven percent general conditions and fees budget, and
pre-established three percent contractor's fee for the project.
