RICHLAND, Wash. - Richlandites can finally indulge on the same juicy cheese steaks its neighbors across the river in Pasco and Kennewick have been enjoying for years.
Bruchi's Cheese Steaks and Subs is remodeling and expanding a building that used to house a gas station and car lot on the corner of Jadwin and Symmons for its newest location.
The high-visibility location across from the uptown shopping center was what sold Bruchi's General Manager Mike Scott on the property, which he is leasing from Tim Bush. The 2,000 square foot restaurant will have a drive-thru window and employ a dozen workers. Reclaimed flooring, walls and brick will finish the building.
"It's kind of cliché but the credit goes to the crew, the people that work in the stores, they do a great job, we're very very lucky with my managers and my staff, been able to keep people for long periods of time, so we feel lucky, we just try to do the best we can every day and it's worked out," said General Manager Mike Scott.
Bush Construction is the general contractor for the project.
