RICHLAND, Wash. - You can get a good cup of joe and support a good cause all at the same time in Richland.
Sharehouse is the Tri-City's newest coffee shop. They celebrated their grand opening Friday.
Bethel Church is behind the project. They paid for the construction and startup of the business. The shop's sales will cover all employee wages and overhead and the rest of the profits will go straight to charity.
"We research them. We're trying to find organizations that are really dedicated toward improving people's lives around the world. So, anywhere where there's poverty low wage, unfairness - that kind of things. We're going to partner with those organizations," said General Manager Evan Burt.
This month's cause of choice is the Blood: Water Mission which works to overcome the AIDS and water crisis in Africa.
The shop is located at 2150 Keene Road.
