Rain Returning to Washington Wednesday; Fog Expected to Clear

Posted: Updated:

SEATTLE, Wash. - Forecasters are expecting Tuesday to be the last day in a nearly two-week long period of dry, foggy weather in the state.

The National Weather Service says a strong upper level ridge has been causing stagnant air. They say it should be giving way Tuesday night and Wednesday to a Pacific frontal system.

Forecasters say they expect periods of rain or showers in western Washington and light snow or mixed snow and rain in eastern Washington into the weekend.
