SPOKANE, Wash. -
After a tough loss at the hands of Saint Mary's, the Gonzaga women rebounded in a big way with a 31 point win over Portland. Next up is BYU.
The Zags host the Cougars Thursday night at the McCarthey Athletic Center in a game televised live on SWX. Gonzaga knows very well they are in for a huge challenge.
BYU is currently on top of the West Coast Conference standings with a perfect 3-0 record. It is no coincidence the Cougars are in the driver's seat, as they rank among the league's best in virtually every statistical category.
"You always have to take care of business at home, that's the key, I think, in any league championship," said Gonzaga coach Kelly Graves. "Hopefully this place is rocking and we're excited and the kids feed off that energy… and they have to execute."
"BYU is a great team, it's going to be a very good game," said guard Taelor Karr. I think we have to be ready. They've got good players from last year that we played against and some new ones as well."
