Gang-Related Crime on Rise in Walla Walla

WALLA WALLA, Wash. - Gang crime in Walla Walla is on the rise.

Police say gang-related crime increased in 2012, up 50% from 2011. Officers say overall calls to the police department also increased by 10%.

In 2012, police report 246 gang crimes, up from 159 in 2011. Police say part of the large increase could be from more accurate reporting by officers.
