KENNEWICK, Wash. - A Burbank cheerleader will be making a trip to London this week to perform in their New Year's Day parade.
Kendra Guajardo is one of 1,500 cheerleaders from across the world selected to cheer in the event.
The Columbia High School senior was picked to join a national team cheerleading team and then given the opportunity to perform in the London parade.
"I feel really privileged because it's a once in a lifetime opportunity and I know that without me making the team, I probably would never have the opportunity to go to London. So it's really exciting," Guajardo said.
People in the Burbank community contributed to Kendra's fundraising events to be able to make the trip to England.
She leaves Thursday for London to practice her routine and see the sights.
