PASCO, Wash. - Santa had some unusual helpers Thursday night at the Boys and Girls Club in Pasco.
Franklin County Sheriff's Deputies showed up at the Club's holiday party. They brought with them a bicycle for a little boy who earned a spot on the nice list this year.
The bike itself was found by the Sheriff's Office Search and Resuce Robot during a training mission. It was under the Blue Bridge.
"It was a way the Sheriff's Office could give back to the community because the community's given us a lot for this whole project with the SARBOT so we thought it was a good way to give back to the community that's given a lot to us," said Deputy Terry Brown.
Brown said refurbishing the bicycle was a community effort. All the parts and labor to fix it up were donated.
The Boys and Girls Club picked who got the bike and Manuel couldn't have been happier.
