KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. - The winter storm created some big problems for people traveling over Snoqualmie Pass.
Washington State Patrol troopers say over the weekend they saw about 100 accidents in Kittitas County alone.
Unfortunately, two of those accidents ended with people dying. troopers say everyone needs to remember to slow down and be smart when driving in the snow.
"Just a reminder to everybody to really slow down and pre plan some extra time. Bring their chains, and other emergency equipment they may need for an extended trip," said Trooper Darren Wright.
The latest fatal accident happened Sunday afternoon. Troopers say two cars were pulled over on the side of Interstate 90, when another car slid out of control and hit them. Jason Halstead, 46, of North Bend was killed in the accident.
