PASCO, Wash. - One car suffered the weight of a large tree after it fell at the intersection of 7th Avenue and Henry on Monday.
The tree also brought down some power lines along with it. It did not appear anyone was hurt.
Just down the street at 7th and Clark, a tree fell on a house causing major damage to the second floor.
Neighbors said there were people in the house at the time but no one was injured. The person living on the second floor was not home at the time.
One neighbor said he heard it all happen just after 3AM.
"I heard it. It was a loud bang. It was real loud, like thunder, it made me jump up out of bed. I ran over and I took a look outside. I couldn't tell that the tree was down because it was so dark all you could see was just the blue arcing," said neighbor Dane Hicks.
Basin Disposal canceled garbage pick-up in Pasco Monday due to the strong winds. They will be making their normal Monday pickups on Tuesday.
