White Pass Ski Area closes for the day

WHITE PASS, Wash.-- Bad news for skiers and snowboarders: White Pass Ski Area was closed down today because of the hazardous driving conditions on the pass.

The area says they did not open because of concerns about visitor and employee safety.

High winds and heavy snow slammed the mountain and knocked out the power as well.

The ski area expects to reopen tomorrow.
