WEST RICHLAND, Wash. - West Richland Police are investigating an abduction attempt over the weekend.
Police say on Sunday night, a woman living on the 5000 block of Holly Way in West Richland called 911 and told police two men tried to kidnap her 12-year-old daughter.
Police say the girl had been outside of her house playing, when she saw a black Chrysler 300 nearby. The girl told police two black men, dressed in dark clothing, got out of the car, approached her and told her to get out of the car.
The girl then ran inside her home and told her mother what happened, who then called police. When officers arrived, they say they couldn't find the car.
Officers want to remind residents and parents to pay close attention to the whereabouts of their children, and report any suspicious people or events immediately.
West Richland Police say anyone who may have seen a black or dark colored Chrysler 300 near Holly Way in West Richland on Sunday, December 16, between 6 and 7 PM should contact them at 509-967-3425.
