New Call Center to Add 150 Jobs in Yakima

Posted: Updated:

Yakima, WASH--One-hundred fifty people could find themselves with a new job next month.

Arvato Digital Services is opening a call center in downtown Yakima.

They'll invest several million dollars in the building that used to house call centers for Whirlpool and Client Logic.

Shannon Hitchcock, the marketing director for New Vision, said Arvato is here to stay because they're looking to grow and add to their staff.

"It'll be great to have 150 employees back downtown. That means those employees will be going out to lunch, they'll be visiting the shops downtown. Something that we sorely were missing and needed to have that," Hitchcock said.

If you're interested in applying to work at the call center, there's a job fair Wednesday. It will go from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at their location on the corner of 3rd and East Yakima Avenues.
