Total Phase's Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter named a finalist in the Test & Measurement World’s Best in Test Awards. Online voting open for readers through December 31, 2012
Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) December 13, 2012
Total Phase today announced that Test & Measurement World has named Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter as a finalist in the Best in Test Awards competition. The awards recognize the best in test products and test professionals.
The Best in Test Product Awards honor important and innovative new products and services in the electronics test and measurement industry. Products from all areas of electronics testing and inspection are eligible. The annual Test of Time Award is presented to a product that continues to provide state-of-the-art service more than five years after its introduction. The Test Engineer of the Year Award pays tribute to the important contributions test engineers make to the quality of electronics components, products and systems. The award winner receives a $10,000 educational grant, courtesy of sponsor National Instruments, which is presented to an engineering school designated by the winner.
The Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter is a fast and powerful I2C and SPI bus host adapter that operates over USB. Developers can interface a host PC to a downstream embedded system environment and transfer serial messages using the I2C and SPI protocols. Released in 2003 as Total Phase's very first product, the Aardvark adapter allows engineers to send and receive data as an I2C or SPI master or slave from virtually any machine running Windows, Linux, or Mac OS X. Additionally, engineers can interface with the Aardvark adapter via graphical applications such as Total Phase's Control Center and Flash Center Software, or through programmatic interfaces, including the Aardvark LabVIEW driver and Total Phase's royalty-free API.
“We are honored that the Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter is included as a finalist for the Test of Time award,” said Derek Fung, VP Business at Total Phase. “Since its release in 2003, the Aardvark adapter has stood the test of time with its efficient and cost-effective I2C/SPI testing. The Aardvark adapter's enduring popularity with engineers has made it a classic and reliable embedded systems tool, packed with numerous features that allows it to be used across many industries in many different testing environments.”
“Since 1991 we have had the annual tradition of selecting the Best in Test Award winners,” said Janine Love, Editor in Chief, Test & Measurement World, UBM Tech. “We received an outstanding group of new innovative products and services this year. We look forward to hearing what our readers think of these selections and which products they believe will define our industry for years to come.”
