KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Benton-Franklin Red Cross is sending holiday greeting cards to troops overseas and their families here at home.
Saturday volunteers met at the Kennewick office to make some of those cards. The program started back in 2006 and since then the Red Cross has sent out nearly 5 million cards.
"Just show our support and remind them that we're here 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, we're here for them," Laura Johnston-Burnett.
The Red Cross will have another card making session on Tuesday, December 4th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
They are also looking for volunteers to deliver those holiday cards to local veterans and military members.
