3-year-old who shot himself is doing better

SUNNYSIDE, Wash.-- A 3-year-old Sunnyside boy who accidentally shot himself in the head is doing better this week.

Police say the boy has been transferred from Harborview Medical Center to Seattle Children's Hospital for rehabilitation.
 
The shooting happened last month when the boy found his father's gun in the family truck and shot himself.

Police say he's now in satisfactory condition. They're still finishing up their investigation before handing it over to county prosecutors to decide if charges will be filed.
