CHENEY, Wash. -
Eastern Washington returned to the practice field Monday to prepare for Saturday's home playoff game against Wagner.
It has been more than a week since the Eagles last took the field. Now, after a little rest, they say they are rested for the postseason.
"To have that bye late in the year after going nine straight, hopefully we're going to see a difference in some of our guys and a little bit of freshness," said coach Beau Baldwin.
"[The bye] is good for our bodies, especially for the defense who are banging a lot, and the offensive line… it's good for everybody," said quarterback Vernon Adams.
Saturday's game against the Wagner Seahawks is considered a second round game in the FCS playoffs. Kickoff is set for 3:05 p.m. The game can be seen on ESPN3.
