OREGON CITY, Ore. - The Clackamas County sheriff's office says necropsies for two dogs in Clackamas County show the dogs were killed by a sharp implement.

The dogs' owner, 25-year-old Japheth Stalcup, told deputies he found the missing dogs down a steep embankment in a woods about 100 yards from his house in Eagle Creek, and that it looked like someone had hit them with something like an ax.

Deputies say veterinarians at the Oregon Humane Society did the examination.

The sheriff's office is investigating, but if you have any information that leads deputies to an arrest, the Humane Society is offering a reward of up to $500.
