Volleyball Update: Eastside Teams Are Early Winners

Teams from Eastern Washington fared mostly well in the first rounds of the state volleyball tournaments.

In 2B, Colfax beat  Darrington in three sets and went on to defeat Napavine 3-0. Davenport beat Riverside Christian 3-1 and will play La Conner in the late game. Northwest Christian, from Spokane shut out Pe Ell but took the fall to Reardan 3-0.

IN 1A, Freeman fell to Castle Rock 3-1. And Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) beat Kalama 3-0 and then defeated King's 3-1 on Friday night.

Mt. Spokane beat Lakeside (Seattle) 3-2 in their first match of the morning. The Wildcats fell to Holy Names 3-1 in their late match.

At the 1B level, Almira-Coulee/Hartline beat Mt. Vernon Christian 3 sets to 1, Tekoa-Oakesdale took care of Christian Faith in three sets and Odessa-Harrington swept Pateros 3-0. Odessa-Harrington took the fall to  Tekoa-Oakesdale in 3 sets. ACH defeated Three Rivers Christian 3-0.
