KENNEWICK, Wash.-- A weekend book sale brought in some big bucks for some local libraries.
The Friends of the Mid-Columbia Libraries semi-annual book sale started with thousands of gently used books selling for 25 cents to five dollars apiece. But by this morning they'd made 6,500 dollars. They expect the final tally to top seven thousand.
"A lot of these books are donated by the library and the library is a public entity. We are giving our people back the books they paid for originally," said Ruth Dupuis, President of Friends of the Mid-Columbia Libraries.
All of the money from the sale goes back into the libraries. If you missed out on this one, the next book sale will be in April.
