The numbers are in, and the Kadlec 4 Kids a Thon brought in over $75,000 in donations.
Volunteers and DJs from radio Tri-Cities spend 36 hours in tents to answer phones and collect donations to help premature babies and their parents.
Vice President of Development at Kadlec says the money will go to a much needed new neonatal center for premature babies. "The existing unit is about 3000 square feet. It's busting at the seams. We have great nurses. Phenomenal doctors. We provide great care with outstanding outcomes but we need more space," said Larry Christensen.
The final total was $76,260. The fundraiser began at 6 a.m. Thursday and ended 6 p.m. Friday.
