SEATTLE, Wash. - Boeing is encouraging its suppliers to attend a workshop next month to learn how they can outsource business to Mexico.
A company official wrote a letter promoting the November 15th workshop in Chicago.
The aerospace company says the workshop is a matter of routine business to keep the company's suppliers informed of opportunities to expand their capacity around the world.
Officials with the International Association of Machinists say outsourcing work can hurt efforts to build the domestic labor force, and plan to raise the issue with Boeing.
