Local county unemployment rates down

The latest unemployment numbers show more people are finding jobs around the area.

Every county in our viewing area saw a significant drop in their unemployment rate in September.

The biggest change came in Yakima County which saw its unemployment rate drop nearly 2%.

Franklin County, Kittitas County, and Walla Walla County also saw drops of more than one percent.

Unemployment Rates for September:
Yakima Co. - 8.2%
Benton Co. - 8.1%
Franklin Co. - 7.8%
Kittitas Co. - 7.5%
Walla Walla Co. - 6.4%
