WALLA WALLA, Wash. - An ex-convict is in jail after trying to buy guns with no paperwork in Walla Walla.
Washington State Patrol says the 20-year-old man was at a gun show, when he was recognized as a wanted ex-convict by off-duty officers attending the same event.
Troopers say the man also made the mistake of attempting to buy guns at a booth manned by an off-duty trooper.
The man was unable to buy any weapons at the event. He was arrested for a Department of Corrections violation when he left the county fairgrounds.
