Toppenish, WASH.--If you're feeling hungry you might want to head to the Yakama Nation Legends Casino. A chef there took home top honors for a regional cooking competition.
Eleven chefs tested their skills during the 4th Annual Rez Kitchen Tour in Oregon.
Legends Chef Fernando Berrum won a "chopped" inspired competition. The chefs had just 20 minutes to prepare a dish with surprise ingredients.
"Almost every second counts and every minute," said Berrum. "You have to think very quick because you can even do something better, but you have 20 minutes."
Berrum said he thinks the judges were impressed with his special attention to sanitation, and believes that's how he cinched the competition.
