KENNEWICK, Wash. -- We have heard about a train versus car accident tonight on Gum Street and Bruneau Avenue in Kennewick.

A train was backing up across the roadway, when a passenger car hit the train.

Deputies say the train was only moving at a few miles per hour when the accident happened and flaggers were at the scene.

Washington State Patrol says a driver and a passenger have been taken to the hospital. Troopers are on the way to the hospital to talk to them and find out what happened.

State Patrol is investigating the crash.
