Reggie Moore, the Washington State point guard dismissed by the program last week, wrote an open letter to fans and sent it to the Spokesman-Review in hopes of getting it published.

Vince Grippi, the WSU beat writer for the paper, obliged, publishing it on his blog Thursday morning.

The letter includes an apology to fans, as well as an admission that he "made a costly mistake". He didn't say what that mistake was, nor has the school released any information surrounding his violation of team rules.

Said Moore:

"It's unfortunate that it had to come to this for me, but I have learned from this experience, and I believe it has already made me a better person. I'm still excited about the future, and the new challenges and opportunities that await me as a student athlete."

Moore hasn't said where he plans to go from here, and neither has the University.
