"Take-Back Day" in Yakima

Yakima, WASH.--As part of the "National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day" initiative, people could drop off their unwanted or unused prescription drugs in Yakima Saturday.

Nationally, over 750 tons of prescription drugs have been turned in through the Take-Back Day program.

The DEA said the program helps reduce the risk of people abusing prescription drugs, and it disposes of them in a safe, environmentally-friendly way.
