Lawsuit filed against daycare

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, Wash. -- Earlier this month, a Richland Daycare worker was sentenced to eight years in prison for molesting a child at Kids world daycare.

Thursday, attorney William "Jay" Flynn, representing the family of one of the victims filed a civil lawsuit against the daycare for negligent supervision of Lucas Miller.

The suit also names two employees, including the kids world director saying they received complaints about Miller's behavior from co-workers prior to his arrest but they continued to "negligently" let him be around children despite knowing of his "inappropriate frustration" with children.

Miller worked at the daycare from April to August of 2011. He confessed to inappropriately touching four children there.

The suit is seeking an unspecified amount of damages.
