National Voter Registration Day looks to drive up voter numbers

YAKIMA, Wash.-- Volunteers and organizations across the country today are encouraging people to register to vote as part of National Voter Registration Day.

The goal is to get as many people legally registered to vote as possible.

Back in 2008, six million Americans didn't vote because they didn't know how to register or missed a deadline.

In Yakima, the League of Women Voters has set up a table at Jackson's Sports Bar tonight. They'll be there until seven pm.
