YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash.-- The Yakima County Planning Commission is having to change it's review process for adult entertainment businesses to comply with a federal court ruling from July.
It's similar to the process the City of Yakima is going through right now, except the county already has the majority of its guidelines laid out. Like where adult businesses can be built.
County manager's say the change is minor and there will still be strict guidelines.
"We want to ensure that we are similar to the City of Yakima so that the county isn't seen as an easier gateway to site a facility," said county Administrative Manager, Lisa Freund.
The planning commission is holding a public meeting Wednesday night to hear from concerned citizens. Anyone is welcome to attend. It starts at 6:15pm at the County's First Street Conference Room.
