State Patrol asking for help in fatal crash investigation - NBC Right Now/KNDO/KNDU Tri-Cities, Yakima, WA |

NEAR CLE ELUM, Wash.-- The Washington State Patrol is trying to figure out what caused a fatal motorcycle crash earlier this week near Cle Elum.

It happened just after 4pm on Monday afternoon, on I-90 about three miles east of Cle Elum.

Randal Haynes, 51, of Renton was riding his motorcycle when troopers say he crashed. He later died at the hospital.

WSP says a silver mini-van, traveling westbound on I-90 left the scene after the crash. They're not sure if that van was involved or not.
