Trial delayed for former Hanford HS teacher charged with rape

KENNEWICK, Wash., -- The trial of a former Hanford High School foreign language teacher charged with 3rd degree rape will be delayed until next month.

Daryl Rachinski, 58, appeared in Benton County Superior Court this morning for a pre-trial hearing.

The new trial date is October 5th.

Rachinski is accused of sexual contact with an underage girl.

Court documents say the alleged incident in June didn't happen on school property or at a school-associated event.
