Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash., -- The Jack Didley's bouncer accused of assaulting a man from Richland outside of the nightclub will wait until 2013 to begin trial.

Judge Craig Matheson of Benton County Superior Court called the case "complex" and one that will need more time.

Prosecutors say Matthew Hibbard used excessive force when he and another bouncer tried to prevent 31-year-old Ben Ensign from re-entering the nightclub.

The new trial date is January 28th, 2013.

Hibbard is charged with 3rd degree assault.
