YAKIMA, Wash.-- Organizers are getting ready for the 20th Annual Case of the Blues festival in Yakima this weekend.
Workers were out setting up tents and fence in Sarg Hubbard Park today. The festival brings in several bands and also includes food and local wines and microbrews. Organizers say it's unusual for an event like this to last 20 years. They say it's become a "summer reunion" for Yakima.
"People come from all over, they come back to this town to visit with friends they haven't seen for a year. It's the kind of thing where you cant hardly walk anywhere without running into somebody you know and you have to talk and catch up on old times," says Yakima Greenway Executive Director Al Brown.
It's happening in Sarg Hubbard Park this Saturday. It goes from four pm to 11 pm. You have to be at least 21 to attend. Tickets are $40 if you buy them beforehand and $45 if you buy them the day of the event. You can preorder tickets on the event's website, here.
