Yakima, WASH.--The Yakima Valley Opera Company is performing this week.
The company was established in 2009. The program gives young talent an opportunity to work with experienced opera singers.
One of the performers used to sing professional opera in Europe.
Performer Peter Wachsmith said, "I feel like it's just a huge honor to be able to learn from these people, and there's no way to fail with these people. They're always here to support you. I feel like I have a huge leg up on other students who want to be part of opera one day."
You can catch a performance at the Seasons Performance Hall in Yakima Friday and Saturday night at 7.
