Freight train severed man's legs in Pasco

UPDATE: We've now learned the name of the victim hit by a freight train Tuesday Night. 

Eddie Mendoza of Pasco is listed in serious condition in the ICU at the Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. 

PASCO, Wash.- Police say they believe it's possible the man was trying to jump aboard a moving train late Tuesday night lost both his legs when he fell and the train ran over him.

Officers say a railroad worker found the man on the tracks near First Avenue and Clark Street. 

Police haven't identified the man, but say he is expected to survive.
