Inmate found hanged in Benton County Jail

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Benton County Coroner says on Monday night, 29-year-old Christopher Britton hanged himself in the Benton County Jail.

The Coroner says Britton tore a piece off of a security blanket and used it as a noose, and jail workers found him in his cell.

Police arrested Britton on August 4th for several outstanding warrants.
