YAKIMA, Wash.-- Hundreds of vintage cars are driving into Yakima over the next few days for the 38th Annual "Vintiques" Northwest Nationals Car Show.
It's an event showing off and celebrating cars made before 1972. Organizers say they have at least 300 cars preregistered, and they expect that number to jump to 700 by this weekend. Organizers say they not only love the cars, but also people's reactions to them.
"Look at the paint job, look at that! Look at that engine! Boy, I bet they have a lot of money wrapped up in that," says Shirley Fairbanks with Vintiques Northwest Nationals.
If you'd like to check out the show, it's happening in State Fair Park. The area is open to the public on Friday from nine to seven and on Saturday from eight to five. It costs seven dollars for adults, three for seniors and children, and 15 dollars for a family.
